Dr. Martin Drapeau is a Full Professor in Counselling Psychology at McGill University and a licensed clinical psychologist recognized by the Ordre des Psychologues du Québec and the College of Psychologists and Behaviour Analysts of Ontario (CPBAO). He also holds the positions of Associate Member of the Department of Psychiatry at McGill University and Adjunct Professor of Clinical Psychology at the Université de Sherbrooke.

Dr. Drapeau holds a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from the Université du Québec à Montréal, as well as postdoctoral training in both psychiatry and clinical psychology from the Université de Lausanne (Switzerland) and the Universität Albert-Ludwig Freiburg im Breisgau (Germany). His professional experience spans academic, clinical, and research roles across university, hospital, and private practice settings, and he has served in leadership positions with the Ordre des Psychologues du Québec and the Canadian Psychological Association. He teaches assessment and diagnosis courses at the graduate level and supervises students and interns in their clinical practice.

Dr. Drapeau integrates psychodynamic and cognitive-behavioral approaches in his clinical work, with particular expertise in psychotherapy process research, evidence-based practice and best practices in mental health, and clinical practice guideline development. He maintains a strong commitment to bridging research and clinical practice, and has contributed extensively to the field through peer-reviewed publications, graduate supervision, and professional training initiatives.
